CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

When we started, we helped 34 students by giving scholarships worth Rs. 60k which has increased year on year to 50 students with scholarships worth Rs. 1 lakh.

It is rightly said “If you educate a man, you educate an individual. But if you educate a woman, you educate a nation.” Education is an integral part of every individual’s life but when girls are educated, countries become stronger and prosperous.

So with our comprehensive understanding of industry and a desire to motivate as many women into the workforce led us to design another initiative. We have been collaborating with institutes and providing “On Job Training” for final year girl students to increase their confidence and get them ready for the industry. When we started In 2017, we trained 15 girl students studying in the final year of SESP Polytechnic, Solapur. And since then we have been adding even more students to this training program year on year.

When we started, we had 88 blood donors, which increased to 100+ in the next year. We were awarded the “Highest Blood Donation Collector - Industry Structure” award for our efforts.

Apart from this, we also hold cataract eye camps for our employees and their family members. The camp serves to identify and triage patients in need of cataract surgery who would otherwise not be able to afford the expenses of such an operation. For any employee/employee family member who is in need of cataract surgery, we pay for the operation fully.

This voluntary service to the community has had a significant impact on the quality of employees’ lives.Since the incubation of this initiative, we have operated and enriched the lives of 55 employees and their family members.

We noticed that there are dearth of opportunities and resources for women to enhance their career. So we designed short courses for girls to make them financially independent as early as possible.

The organization’s group chairman - Late Shri Jaykumar Patil, took the onus to form MIDC area in Solapur and also ensured supply of various resources to aid its operation. To denote his contribution and remember his work, we constructed the association's building at MIDC Chincholi. The building was named “Jaykumarji Patil Udyog Bhavan”, in his honour.

To start with, we have powered all the administrative buildings with solar energy. We stand by our motto to minimize the waste and reuse as much as we can.

To aid it, we installed the most effluent treatment plant to purify the chemical water produced in our facilities. All the treated water is then reused for multiple purposes like gardening.

“Conservation prevents waste”. So, we treat the sewage water and use the treated water for gardening, thus giving back to the environment. The garden planted has a wide variety of flowers, fruits thus maintaining the ecological balance.

“We think green”. We accept our duty to save and restore the environment's beauty. So 2/3rd of the land area we have is occupied with greenery and landscapes.
